Description
Trying to work out when to have intercourse while planning pregnancy? Swe-Care Easy Check Ovulation Test Kit helps you identify the LH surge that usually happens before ovulation, so you have a hormone-based signal to guide your timing.
The kit contains 5 LH ovulation test strips, a collection cup and instructions for testing at home. You also receive 1 free hCG pregnancy test strip, used separately according to its own instructions.
We can help you understand your test results and explain when a new test or advice from a healthcare professional may be appropriate.
How it works
The LH strip reacts to luteinising hormone in your urine. At the stated reading time, compare the test line with the control line. A test line that is as dark as or darker than the control indicates a positive LH-surge result. This is a prediction aid, not confirmation that ovulation has occurred.
How to use the LH ovulation strips
- Know when to start: Use the cycle chart in the manual. For a 28-day cycle, testing starts on day 12 (day 1 = first day of your period).
- Test at the same time daily: Use first morning urine, as recommended in the manual. Avoid drinking too much fluid for 2 hours before testing.
- Collect urine: Use a clean, dry cup. Open the foil only when ready to test.
- Dip for 3 seconds: Place the arrow end in urine without going above the MAX line.
- Read for 10 minutes: Lay the strip flat and use a timer. Do not read after 10 minutes.
How to read your result
- Positive – LH surge detected
Control line appears, and the test line is as dark as or darker than the control line. - Negative – No LH surge detected
Control line appears, but the test line is lighter or not visible. - Invalid — Test did not work
No control line appears, even if a test line is visible.

Storage and care
Store in a dry place at 2–30°C. Keep strips in their sealed wrappers until needed. Check the expiry printed on your pack. Do not use a damp strip, a strip with damaged packaging or one past its expiry. Keep the kit and desiccant away from children. Each strip is for one use only.
Important limitations
- Do not use this kit to prevent pregnancy or decide when unprotected sex is safe.
- It does not treat infertility, confirm egg release or guarantee pregnancy.
- Do not use an LH strip as a pregnancy test; use the separate hCG strip.
- Some hormonal medicines and conditions can affect results. If you have irregular cycles, an ovarian condition or are receiving fertility treatment, ask a healthcare professional about interpretation.
- Do not stop or change prescribed medicines based on the leaflet or a home-test result.
- Repeated negatives do not diagnose a fertility problem. Seek advice if you repeatedly cannot identify a surge or have concerns about your cycle.
FAQ
- Are there five tests in total or five ovulation tests?
There are five LH ovulation test strips plus one separate free hCG pregnancy test strip, making six test strips in total. The cup and manual are also included.
- Is a faint second line a positive ovulation result?
Not if it is lighter than the control line. For these LH strips, the test line must be as dark as or darker than the control at the specified reading time. Pregnancy-test interpretation is different.
- Will five strips last a complete cycle?
Not necessarily. Each strip is used once. How many you need depends on when you start testing and when your LH surge occurs. Longer or variable cycles can require more tests.
- Does a positive LH test mean I am pregnant?
No. The LH strip is for ovulation tracking. Use the separate pregnancy strip according to its own instructions to test for pregnancy.
- Can I use this to avoid pregnancy?
No. A negative result does not mean unprotected sex is safe. This kit is not a contraceptive method.
- What if I cannot understand the result?
Contact Lyfline Meds for help. Record what you see at the instructed reading time; do not rely on a strip that has dried or changed afterwards. A missing control line means the test is invalid.
- What if all five LH strips are negative?
It means no surge was detected in those samples, not that you are infertile. Timing and other factors can affect results. Contact Lyfline Meds for guidance, and seek professional advice if you repeatedly cannot identify a surge or have cycle concerns.
