Four Tests in One Convenient Kit

Venchecker combines four screening panels in one test cassette.

It screens for:

• HIV 1 and HIV 2 antibodies
• Syphilis antibodies
• Hepatitis B surface antigen, HBsAg
• Hepatitis C antibodies

This makes it a convenient option for people who want to complete an initial screening privately using one self-test kit.

How the Venchecker Self-Test Works

Venchecker uses rapid lateral-flow immunoassay technology.

After the correct amount of whole blood and specimen diluent is added, the sample moves across the test strip. The test checks the sample for the specific antigen or antibodies targeted by each panel.

The control line must appear to show that the test has worked correctly.

Venchecker provides a qualitative result. This means that the result is reported as reactive, non-reactive or invalid. It does not measure the concentration of an antigen or antibody.

How to Use the Test

1. Check that the kit is sealed, undamaged, and within its expiry date.
2. Wash your hands with soap and warm water, then dry them properly.
3. Place the test cassette on a clean, flat surface.
4. Clean the side of your fingertip with the included alcohol pad.
5. Allow your finger to dry before using the sterile lancet.
6. Use the lancet to obtain the required finger-prick blood sample.
7. Collect and transfer the blood using the included dropper.
8. Apply the blood to the appropriate sample area on the test cassette.
9. Add the specimen diluent according to the enclosed instructions.
10. Start a timer and read the results within the stated period.
11. Dispose of the used test materials safely.

Too little blood, too much blood, or an incorrect amount of diluent may produce an invalid result.

How to Read Your Result

Non-reactive

Only the control line appears.

This means that the relevant infection marker was not detected at the time of testing.

A non-reactive result does not completely rule out a recent exposure. If the test is performed too early, the antigen or antibodies being tested may not yet be detectable.

Reactive

The control line and a test line appear.

Any visible test line should be treated according to the enclosed instructions, even when it appears faint.

A reactive self-test result is an initial screening result. Visit a qualified healthcare provider for confirmatory testing and professional guidance.

Invalid

The control line does not appear.

The result cannot be interpreted. Repeat the test with a new kit and carefully follow the enclosed procedure.
